Welcome to the LightningFest 5 website. As you can gather from the name, the LightningFest in 2007 will be the 5th annual event. LightningFest 4 (2006) at KCIR, Kansas City, KS We will hold LightningFest at Kansas City International Raceway (KCIR) in Kansas City, MO. The event will be 21-23 September and will consist of 2 days of drag racing and 1 day of Truck Show. The drag classes will have the same rules as last year. The Truck Show will have the same Lightning/HD Truck classes. We are currently talking to some of the car care products companies about sponsoring the Truck Show. We invite those "other trucks" to race the Lightnings and HD trucks after the awards on Saturday evening. We will also invite the Hooters girls to assist in handing out the trophies to both the Drag Racing and Truck Show winners. I will personally be looking for competition in 2007 in both the Golf Cart class and the Burnout Contest. Start saving those old tires to melt down at LightningFest 5. |
